Welcome to ABTIM

VideoTIM - the monitor for the blind - is now available in the USA. Ask for the current price and training opportunities at info@abtim.com

After more than two years of tests and training we know that VideoTIM is working very reliable. Users have a fast learning curve. Many of them are working 6 hours and more with VideoTIM every day. VideoTIM has a very low noise and is not vibrating. It is simple to read printed text. You can also look at simple grafics with VideoTIM.

Read about the latest technical features of VideoTIM 2.0 here.

You are a specialist in touchable grafics for blind persons and you like the good old OPTACON? We like it too. And we try to be better.

VideoTIM is a combination of the perceptible display TIM and a videocamera. The mini-hand-videocamerea films the object with text or simple grafics. The grafic-display TIM shows the videopictures in realtime.

We found out that most of the persons trained by our team were able to read complete sentences of printed text after the first day. After the second day they were much faster in reading with VideoTIM. Within two weeks by training themselfes the users learned to read by the unique TPS-Technology - developed by ABTIM. That means that the reading hand lies on the TIM display without movement and is able to percept all the text while it is written on the skin.
